Laurence Yadi and Nicolas Cantillon discovered the Family Dance project in Barcelona. The initiator, Juan Eduardo López, invited them to lead a workshop that brings together parents and children from 5 to 10 years old. This experience has excited the choreographers who decided to initiate this project in Geneva. Since 2010, they have been developing the workshops in collaboration with the municipalities.
The objective is to offer a meeting place for professionals, parents and children around dance. Touching, carrying, embracing, in an artistic setting with the guidance of a movement professional, these are all actions that help to forge new links between a child and his parents. During these two hours of exchanges, the complicity between children and parents is palpable
The coordination of the project was taken over in 2015 by +Dense, in collaboration with the cultural department of Meyrin and the Maison Vaudagne.
